Following Perry Mehrling’s course at Coursera, which I can recommend, I discovered a nice pdf file which shows you what the Fed does and where you can find the statistics. The file is called “Forms of Fed Lending” and has been published by the NY Fed. The data are available via links from the file, but also via FRED2. Before 2007, there were three forms of lending. Now there are thirteen. Still no inflation… On a more serious note, it is nice to have such a nice overview. Transparency has been greatly improved by putting this file online.
